Scooter had surgery

My poor little guy had both his back legs operated on, on Monday. Since he was born he has had luxated patellas - (dislocated kneecaps). His condition was rated a 4 out of 4, with 4 being the worst. Even so, it didn't keep him down and he could run as fast as my other two dogs. But, the vet told me that if he didn't have the surgery, he would get severe arthritis in both knee joints as he got older and be in a lot of pain. So, a no-brainer, he had the surgery. He is doing well and hobbling around just fine. He doesn't let anything keep him down. I'm having a problem getting him to take his pills though. He is so smart and no matter how I try to disguise this one pill, he realizes it and spits it back out! The others, I just push down his throat and make him swallow, but this one is bigger and he is so little.. Oh well, I'll figure out something.
